Heuristic: any negotiation, business or political, that lasts longer than one hour (excl. meals) is no longer a negotiation; it’s more like an attempt to verbally resuscitate a dead horse. Does this heuristic work well? You can distinguish between Semitic tribes & Levantine-Greek settled population as follows. Just open the Old Testament. People are defined by their lineage, X son of X son of X son of X… Same for Arab “clans”. For settled L-G: Athenadoros of Tyre, Antiochos of Laodicia, etc.

Will cover the new tech book. 2) My heuristic: if a podcast has had someone like Sam Harris @SamHarrisOrg on, I avoid both listening to & participating in, it. It may be imperfect but the trick cleans up scientism, BS, & absence of scholarship. My allergic reactions to BS have been exacerbated with time

My kashrut is to never eat a nonvegetarian animal. Converges to some neo-Canaanite ones.
